Recognizing extraordinary efforts to protect local health and safety, detect and eliminate environmental hazards, and build support for stormwater management through extensive public outreach, the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Virginia) Stormwater Institute recently announced winners of its 2020 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards.
Earlier this month, the judges of the 2020 WEFTEC Connect Student Design Competition chose winners in two categories from among the 27 universities that participated. This year was the first fully virtual competition.

The WEF Stormwater Institute (SWI) is updating its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) survey. Consisting of 26 questions, the 2020 MS4 Needs Assessment Survey will take the pulse of the U.S. stormwater sector in search of up-to-date information on permittee characteristics, obstacles, and opportunities.
For the past nine years, both the Innovation and Stormwater Pavilions have been the go-to destinations for the most current and prominent water sector information. The pavilions are now seeking presenters for WEFTEC 2020.
