The cancellation of our October meeting in New Orleans was necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic that has made it inadvisable to hold the traditional WEFTEC in-person meeting. Currently existing governmental orders at both the state and local level restricting the congregation of groups and other social distancing regulations, together with travel restrictions that will prevent a large number of our attendees from attending this meeting, have forced us to make this difficult decision.  We do look forward to having WEFTEC return to New Orleans in 2022.

WEFEC Connect is our new virtual event featuring education, an exhibitor showcase, and networking components of the WEFTEC experience.

WEFTEC Connect is live October 5-9, 2020 as a virtual experience. On-demand content is available for a full year.

If you have already registered, on June 17 you will receive an email from our registration partner, Experient, with options for managing your registration. You will have until July 1 to select one of the following options. If we do not hear from you by July 1, your registration fee will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment.

OPTION 1:
Transfer your registration to the WEFTEC Connect virtual conference and refund the balance to the original form of payment.

  • Full Conference – Transfer my registration fee to virtual and refund the balance
  • Expo Only – Transfer my registration fee to virtual at no additional cost

OPTION 2:
Receive a full refund of your registration. All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.

Hotel reservations (individual or group bookings) made with WEF’s official housing partner, Convention Management Resources (CMR), will be cancelled automatically without penalty. You will receive an email once the cancellation has been made.

If you did not book your hotel room(s) through CMR, you will need to contact your hotel directly to cancel and/or request a refund.

WEFTEC Connect goes live on Monday, Oct. 5.  Your login credentials and instructions will be emailed to you several days prior to the event.

No, an up-to-date web browser is the only requirement to participate in WEFTEC Connect.

Yes, the site can be viewed on a mobile device and will be formatted for mobile viewing.

No, you do not need a webcam and can engage with sound-only (computer microphone and speakers required) or by text-only chat/instant messaging.

Exhibitors will be able to participate in WEFTEC Connect at three tiers.

Showcase Opportunities

Companies will have a range of sponsorship opportunities which are being developed and will be made available within the next few weeks.

No. Exhibitors that wish to participate in WEFTEC Connect will need to complete a new contract to purchase their exhibitor showcase for the virtual event. Visit the WEFTEC Connect Exhibitor Showcase page to access the new contract.

Yes! WEF will include ways to highlight new product launches within WEFTEC Connect. More information on this will be shared soon.

Exhibitors have the following options to have their booth fees refunded/transferred:

  1. Transfer your currently paid booth fees to be applied to a WEFTEC Connect exhibitor showcase or sponsorship purchase. All exhibitors who purchase a WEFTEC Connect exhibitor showcase will earn one WEFTEC Priority Point for participating. This also entitles exhibitors to participate in advance booth selection for WEFTEC 2021.
  2. Transfer your currently paid booth fees to be applied to your WEFTEC 2021 booth order. WEF is incentivizing exhibitors by awarding one WEFTEC Priority Point for choosing this option! This also entitles exhibitors to participate in advance booth selection for WEFTEC 2021.
  3. Receive a full refund to the original form of payment. (No priority points awarded, no access to advance booth selection for this option.)

Exhibitors should complete this form by September 1, 2020, to let us know which of the above options they would like to pursue.

Your sales representative will be reaching out to you with new sponsorship offerings for WEFTEC Connect and will work with you to determine the best fit. If you do not wish to move forward with recognition in WEFTEC Connect, you may elect to receive a full refund or transfer your paid sponsorship to a similar offering for WEFTEC 2021.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through over 750 orders.  It will take some time, but our goal is to have refunds processed by Oct. 1, 2020. 

A decision regarding your refund or transfer is needed by September 1, 2020 to ensure we can complete your request by Oct. 1, 2020.

Exhibitors who cancelled earlier in the year can use that money toward purchase of a WEFTEC Connect exhibitor showcase but are not eligible for a refund.

Yes! WEF is incentivizing exhibitors who choose to transfer their refund to WEFTEC 2021 booth orders with one WEFTEC Priority Point.

Yes! Companies that purchase WEFTEC Connect 2020 exhibitor showcases will earn 1 WEFTEC Priority Point.

WEF is offering four different incentives to WEFTEC 2020 Exhibitors. 

  1. 1 Priority Point will be awarded for purchase of WEFTEC Connect exhibitor showcase purchase.
  2. WEFTEC Connect exhibitors will be eligible to choose space in the Advance Round for WEFTEC 2021 booth selection.
  3. 1 Priority Point will be awarded to companies that transfer booth fees to their WEFTEC 2021 booth order.
  4. Companies that transfer booth fees to WEFTEC 2021 booth orders will be included in the Advance Round for WEFTEC 2021 booth selection.

WEF has designated two hours per day from Oct. 5 – Oct. 9 as dedicated “Exhibitor Power Hours” with no live competing learning content or sessions. WEF will also be promoting the areas in which our members and attendees have told us through surveys that they have the most interest: new products, solutions, and networking with exhibitors.  This will be done by utilizing the platform’s strengths in intelligent matchmaking, offering scheduled meetings, and providing a platform for exhibitors to feature PDFs, product photos, and demo videos.

The advance round of booth selection for WEFTEC 2021 will be held online later this year.  Companies that purchase a WEFTEC Connect Exhibitor Showcase will be eligible to participate in WEFTEC 2021 advance booking in priority point order.  Companies that transfer their booth fees to WEFTEC 2021 booth orders will also be eligible to book in the advance round in priority point order.  More information about the booking process will be available in September 2020.
