Before the education sessions begin, and the WEFTEC exhibition floor opens, the water community is taking the stage.
Jammin’4Water returns Saturday, September 26, from 6 p.m. to midnight at Generations Hall in New Orleans, bringing together water professionals for a night of live music, community, and a shared commitment to expanding access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene around the world.
And this year marks a new chapter for one of the water community’s most beloved traditions.
A WEFTEC Tradition Becomes an Official WEF Event
What began more than a decade ago as a spontaneous jam session among WEFTEC attendees has grown into a signature gathering powered by musicians, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters from throughout the water sector. In 2026, Jammin’4Water officially joined the WEF Events portfolio as the signature community benefit event leading into WEFTEC.
For Megan Fenstemaker (Kappe Associates), a Jammin’4Water Steering Committee member and longtime volunteer organizer, the partnership creates an opportunity to grow both the event and its impact.
“We are beyond thrilled to be part of WEF and make Jammin’4Water the official kickoff to WEFTEC. This gives us a chance to amplify not just the music, but our mission — reaching more people, bringing greater awareness to the cause, and ultimately making a bigger impact through funding water and sanitation projects around the world. We’re really excited to see what we can accomplish together.”
Since its inception, Jammin’4Waterhas raised more than $650,000 for global water charities and service initiatives, turning one night of music into an impact that reaches far beyond the stage.

Of course, the mission is only part of what makes Jammin’4Water special.
The performers taking the stage are water professionals from across the sector, trading presentations and project meetings for guitars, microphones, drums, and increasingly serious musical rivalries.
The fan favorite Brownwater Boys are returning this year, and Matt Livingston, Global Technical Director at EnviroZyme, makes their intentions pretty clear:
“Some folks come to WEFTEC for the networking. The Brownwater Boys come to throw down. We bring unwavering commitment to clean water and dirty bluegrass, and live by the principle that if you put enough water professionals in one room, sooner or later somebody’s gonna pick up a mandolin.
“Jammin’4Water gives us a chance to make music, raise money, and remind everyone that people in the water industry have more rhythm than their day jobs might lead you to believe.
“This year we’re heading a little farther downriver, putting our bluegrass credentials and our vocal cords to the test. No spoilers, but expect strings, harmonies, and a little brown water. By the time we’re done, the H2O Spice Girls will be trading in their tiaras for cowboy hats.”
Those would be fighting words if the H2O Spice Girls did not already have plans of their own.
Aimeé Killeen, Chief Operations Officer at Providence and WEF Past President, says the group is preparing to turn things up another notch in New Orleans.
“Jammin’4Water is what happens when musically talented water professionals, and a few of us who just fake it, prove they know how to jam, give back, and create impact. Every year we come together at WEFTEC to play music, and raise money for some amazing water charities.
“Jammin’4Water brings our industry together in a way that few events can, with a lot of black lights and fun. This year, the #H2OSpiceGirls are bringing more pink, more merch, more surprises, and a little something for everybody. Huge thanks to our awesome band, hype crew, security team, and the many volunteers who make the magic happen. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this one.”

Cowboy hats or tiaras, there will be no shortage of personality on stage, but most importantly, every ticket, sponsorship, and donation helps support global water, sanitation, and hygiene charities, along with the WEF Community Service Project organized by the Students and Young Professionals Committee.
