With first-of-its-kind embedded digital sensors and connectivity, SureSeT has been developed from the ground up with a natively digital approach. Medium voltage switchgear can be extremely dangerous to operate, with worn-out equipment increasing the risk of business downtime and operator safety. SureSeT is the first medium voltage switchgear to provide Equipment Health Monitoring by having integrated digital sensors inside its newly designed vacuum circuit breaker, EvoPacT.

From these sensors, end users can monitor equipment health and receive recommended actions based on real-time information of critical components such as contact wear, erosion gap, and opening shutter speed. All this information is accessible remotely through wireless connection or the cloud, and EvoPacT can also be operated from outside the arc-flash zone, reducing the risk to maintenance personnel. This information and remote accessibility allows end users to switch to condition-based maintenance, reducing unexpected shutdowns and decreasing travel to site.

SureSeT is designed to be smaller than other switchgear with an intelligent, compact design that reduces its size by 25%. This efficient footprint allows end users to better utilize electrical rooms without compromise. Its compartmentalized design also isolates medium voltage components from the auxiliary cabinets, further reducing risk to personnel.

Powered by EvoPacT, SureSeT is built to last longer than other switchgear, with a durable design tested to 3x traditional standards with up to 5x longer maintenance cycles when using condition-based maintenance. SureSeT is Sustainable.

Grand prize winner of the Environment+Energy award, SureSeT has been designed to be more sustainable throughout its lifetime. The smaller footprint reduces overall raw material content as well as reduces its carbon impact during transportation, while low-power current and voltage sensors provide energy savings over the serviceable lifetime of the equipment. Integrated digital technology allows facility owners to reduce service deployments and increase long-term energy savings through efficient material use. Digitally native products also help the complete ownership lifecycle by innovative technologies such as Augmented Reality based Services that help inexperienced or unfamiliar users to receive help from guided processes when they need it most. EvoPacT is also designed to be easily upgradeable, reducing waste and cost even as the end owner’s needs grow. In another step towards sustainability transparency and accountability, SureSeT also has a published third-party certified Product Environmental Profile (PEP) that transparently outlines Co2 equivalence and Environmental impact, allowing users to actively compare sustainability claims from the start of any project.
