Site 1: The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans installed integrated green and blue roof systems at their downtown administration building in 2016/2017. The green roof is the first on a public building in New Orleans and is intended to be both be a test case as well as a model for how future green infrastructure and green roof installations specifically, can work effectively in the unique New Orleans region.

Site 2: Sponsored by the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, the Water Effectiveness in Broadmoor (WEB) Project converted a vacant lot to a green infrastructure demonstration site for the community. The installation, across the street from a school, captures all the rainwater that falls on the site in addition to street runoff in order to help reduce localized flooding and improve water quality.

Site 3: The Sewerage & Water Board, in collaboration with the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA), sponsored the development of adjoining vacant lots into one stormwater management lot that can store more than 25,000 gallons of water, help to reduce localized flooding, and provide a location for stormwater education & outreach for nearby schools and community organizations.
