More Information

Late Breaking Research

The late-breaking research-based sessions bring together focused and cutting-edge research findings within the broader conference, offering the interactive learning environment found at a smaller event.

Submissions are closed for WEFTEC 2020. Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by mid-July.

Operator Ingenuity Contest

Not all innovations come not from a research lab. Sometimes, you need to tackle a persistent problem using just what’s at hand and a big shot of ingenuity. Selected inventors will be invited to give a 10-minute presentation in the Innovation Pavilion at WEFTEC 2020.

Submissions are closed for WEFTEC 2020.

Interactive Knowledge Exchange

Interactive Knowledge Exchange (IKEs) are five-minute videos that educate and entertain on topics relating to our industry.

Submissions are closed for WEFTEC 2020. Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by April 1.

Technical Presentations

Technical Presentations are generally 30-minutes in length and are selected by the Program Committee in a highly rigorous selection process. Once selected, the abstracts are grouped together topically to make a cohesive session.

CLOSED for WEFTEC 2020. Submissions for WEFTEC 2021 will be accepted beginning in early October.

Session Proposals

Session Proposals should cover a topical issue that will not be addressed through the call-for-abstracts process, and are selected by the Program Committee to take place Monday - Wednesday at WEFTEC. They are either 1.5 or 3 hours in length and should have 3-6 speakers.

CLOSED for WEFTEC 2020. Submissions for WEFTEC 2021 will be accepted beginning in early October.

Help us educate WEFTEC participants while gaining additional exposure for your company by presenting techinical information at WEFTEC 2020. The two formats available only to exhibitors this year are the Mobile Sessions and the Stormwater Pavilion Case Studies. WEF will once again be offering exclusive opportunities for our exhibitors, but these opportunities will be limited.

Innovation and Stormwater Pavilions

For the past nine years, both the Innovation and Stormwater Pavilions have been the go-to destinations for the most current and prominent water industry information.

Workshop Proposals

Full and half-day Workshops are held on Saturday and Sunday at WEFTEC and should cover subjects in depth, using different teaching methods than podium presentations. Hands-on, highly interactive, in-depth workshops are preferred.

CLOSED for WEFTEC 2020. The process for WEFTEC 2021 will begin around July 1st.
