WEFTEC Live is returning in 2022 with more experts, interviews, and updates from throughout WEFTEC.
Nothing can beat the interactions, connections, and experiences that WEFTEC delivers. But we know that not everyone can join us onsite.
To ensure that everyone, everywhere can get a hint of the WEFTEC experience, last year we created WEFTEC Live. This no-cost, live broadcast shows some of what is happening on the Main Stage and provides reports from throughout the conference. In addition, the WEFTEC Live Studio in the Exhibition brings you expert interviews as they happen.
This year we have added more programming. Whether you are across the country or riding a shuttle bus to the convention center, you can see a sample of the latest action live from WEFTEC.
Something for Everyone
While WEFTEC Live does not offer continuing education units or professional development hours, it brings you the expertise, opinions, and insights of leaders from throughout the water sector.
“We will talk with unmatched experts about the most pressing topics facing the water sector,” according to WEFTEC Live Emcee Travis Loop. Loop, who serves as the Water Environment Federation Senior Director of Communications, will welcome guests to the WEFTEC Live Studio.
“Through WEFTEC Live we want to showcase our guests’ expertise and insights as well as emphasize the power of communication, interaction, and connection with each other and the communities we serve.”
The full schedule of WEFTEC Live programming is still developing. However, the broadcast will address issues, projects, and programs about
- how to secure infrastructure funding,
- wastewater surveillance and public health,
- regulatory updates,
- resilience and climate change adaptation,
- the power of storytelling to engage customers,
- and more.
Communications Are Essential
In addition to the live broadcasts, the WEFTEC Live Studio will serve as a gathering point for communications professionals. Afternoons will include a slate of programming and events to bring communicators together to share their stories and grow their network of fellow storytellers.
WEFTEC Live not only helps spotlight hot topics and experts for the water sector but also provides a window into the water and wastewater world for anyone interested in learning more.
