WEFTEC certainly draws a crowd, and while that brings a lot of excitement, it also can be a challenge.

On Aug. 29, WEF hosted a free webcast titled, “Intro(vert) to Networking: A Guide for Both Extroverts and Introverts.” More than 150 users logged in to hear advice and tactics for making the most of social interactions in a professional setting.

The WEF Students and Young Professionals Committee organized this webcast.

This webcast features presentations from self-professed introverts. It is designed for both extroverts and introverts of all experience levels. You will learn how to engage in more meaningful ways in networking scenarios, learn from others' experiences, and even manage networking groups at conferences and gatherings that often include a mix of introverts and extroverts.

The webcast is structured to cover the before, during, and after aspects of networking. How do we manage our own energy levels? How do we manage our energy needs and the expectations of our employers at large conferences? How do we manage the unspoken expectations of people to remain in social situations that may be draining?
