2015 Call for Abstracts

2015 Call for IKEstracts

new submit

The WEF Program Committee is actively seeking submissions for an exciting concept at WEFTEC- the IKE Session.   IKE stands for: Interactive Knowledge Exchange and is the newest innovation coming to WEFTEC. IKE uses video to engage, educate, and interact with audiences local and remote.  Click here for the Call for IKEstract. Submissions are due January 22, 2015 at 8:00am EST.

What are IKEs and IKEstracts?

IKEs are 30 seconds to 10 minutes in length and utilize a creative combination of sound and visual imagery to convey a concentrated message.  IKEs may utilize video footage, photographic images, animation, voice-over narration, music, humor, etc. to illustrate the message.  The IKEstract describes what you will do in the IKE, similar to how an abstract
describes a future presentation in 500 words or less.  IKEstracts/IKEs on hot topics, innovation, and underrepresented subjects are welcomed.  Young professionals, students, and international professionals are especially encouraged to use this new forum to share and explore new ideas.

What type of subject matter makes a good IKE?

  • a particularly challenging part of a project
  • a radical concept
  • a noteworthy innovation
  • a valuable lesson learned
  • an underrepresented issue
  • a humorous insight to our industry

Make sure and read the Call for IKEstracts to get all the details including Focus Areas to submit to and other important information!
