2015 Call for Abstracts

The Call for Abstracts is your opportunity to be a part of the most powerful water quality event of the year! WEF and the Program Committee are pleased to announce that we are accepting abstract submissions for WEFTEC 2015. To see the full list of topics and focus areas, please read the Call for Abstracts.  Abstracts are being accepted until Monday night, December 1 at 11:59 pm Eastern.

You will need to use your WEF log-in to access the online submission site.  If you do not have one or are a non-member, you will be asked to create a WEF log-in. The WEF log-in gives you single sign-on to a multitude of WEF related activities including the specialty conference call for abstracts (when open), the WEF Knowledge Center, WEFCOM and anything e-commerce related.  For assistance with log-in, please contact 1-800-666-0206 or 1-571-830-1545 or

Before you submit, please review detailed information on the Call for Abstract Requirements and Guidelines, including formatting instructions and sample abstracts.  The corresponding author designated in the abstract submission will be notified of acceptance or rejection by April 2015.  Final acceptance is contingent on receipt of a completed manuscript by mid-July, 2015.

We highly recommend starting your abstract submission prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday so that WEF staff may help you with any questions you may have.  All abstracts entered in the online site may be edited, even once complete, until the deadline. WEF will be closed Wednesday, November 26 at noon through Friday, November 28 for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and the Call for Abstracts closes the following Monday, December 1. Our abstract submission vendor, OASIS, will also be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, and both WEF and OASIS are closed on the weekend. If you have questions after Wednesday, November 26, please be aware that WEF staff response time will be much longer than usual due to high demand. The best way to submit questions to WEF staff is via email at - please email only once and wait for a response.

New for 2015: you are limited to 1100 words in your main abstract but this does NOT include graphics, tables or references.  You will also be asked to fill out a brief Main Purpose for the review process as well. Submissions are due by 11:59 pm Eastern on Monday night, December 1.
