2014 Call for Abstracts
2014 AEESP Call for Abstracts
NOW OPEN! WEF is now accepting abstracts for a special Research Symposium session sponsored by the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) to be held at WEFTEC 2014 in New Orleans! The Research and Innovation Symposium serves as focused colloquium within a much larger conference, offering the intimacy and interaction found at a smaller event.
Graduate students and Post-Doctoral Research Associates in particular are encouraged to submit abstracts related to the water environment, including:
- Innovative approaches for wastewater treatment and reuse
- Watershed management and extreme weather events considerations
- Water and wastewater infrastructure sustainability and resiliency
- Water reuse
- Applications of next-generation molecular tools
- Suspended growth and biofilm system modeling
- Emerging contaminants
- Recovery of nutrients and energy from wastewater
- Life cycle analysis and systems planning considerations
- Global water and health
- Algae for wastewater treatment
Submissions are due by April 14, 2014 at 8:00am EDT. Click here for more information on the Call for Abstract Requirements and Guidelines, including formatting instructions and sample abstracts.
If you submitted to the WEFTEC 2014 Call for Abstracts, the corresponding author designated in the abstract submission will be notified of acceptance or rejection by April 2014. Final acceptance is contingent on receipt of a completed paper by August 1, 2014. Questions may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be a special Call for Abstracts relating to the Mobile Sessions for exhibitors only opening in late spring 2014. This is a good sample of what WEF is looking for in a technical presentation from exhibitors.
