Call for Abstracts: AEESP Emerging Research Session at WEFTEC 2015
Abstracts are being solicited for a special Research Symposium session sponsored by the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) to be held at WEFTEC 2015 in Chicago. The Research Symposium brings together much focused and cutting edge research findings within the broader conference, offering the interactive and learning environment found at a smaller event. As
the largest annual water conference in the world, WEFTEC is the premier place to showcase the latest advances in research and practice.
The topics of interests include:
- Resilient water infrastructure
- Innovative wastewater treatment and water reuse
- Technologies to accomplish low nitrogen in the effluent
- Applications of next-generation molecular tools
- Technologies to source separate and recover nutrients
- Emerging contaminants
- Recovery of nutrients and energy from wastewater
- Sustainable water infrastructure
- Global water and health
The Symposium will be held in the afternoon of Tuesday, September 29th, at McCormick Place. Submissions are due April 1, 8:00 am Eastern. The Abstracts should be one page or less
(12 point font minimum, 1-inch margins). Please submit abstracts via the online submittal system.
To encourage wider dissemination of the results and findings beyond this Research Symposium, full-length papers are encouraged, but not required. Abstracts (or full papers) accepted for podium and poster presentations will be included in the conference proceedings with a WEF license agreement (not subject to WEF copyright). Revised abstracts or full papers will be due by July 20, 2015.

2015 Workshop Proposal Submission
Workshop Proposals were due to Mary Ann Linder on November 3, 2014. The workshop review process is now underway and will be completed at the Mid-Year Meeting. You will hear from Mary Ann the week of Feb. 9 regarding your submittal.
