Celebrating Design and Sustainability: WEFTEC 2025 Booth Awards

Every year, WEFTEC’s Expo Hall is more than a place to showcase products—it’s where design, innovation, and attendee experience come to life. Exhibitors pour creativity into their booth spaces, and in 2025, WEF expanded its recognition program to honor those efforts in new ways. 

Alongside the long-standing Best of Show Booth Awards, WEF introduced the inaugural Sustainable Booth Award, created to spotlight exhibitors who embrace sustainable design and material choices. Together, these recognitions highlight the many ways exhibitors are helping shape the WEFTEC experience while supporting innovation and responsibility across the industry. 

Inaugural Sustainable Booth Award Winner: Ecosorb by OMI Industries

The first-ever Sustainable Booth Award went to Ecosorb by OMI Industries, whose booth stood out for its eco-conscious design and practical ingenuity.

• Constructed entirely from recyclable cardboard, the booth offered a lightweight but durable alternative to conventional builds 
• Designed to fit on a single pallet, it significantly reduced shipping-related emissions 
• Interlocking flooring allowed easy repair or replacement to minimize waste
• At the end of its life, the entire structure can be fully recycled—closing the loop on sustainable exhibiting 

By combining creativity with responsible choices, Ecosorb by OMI Industries set a new example for how sustainability can be embedded into the exhibitor experience.
