Workshops

WEFTEC 2014 offered 31 workshops that covered a wide range of topics! These workshops offered the opportunity to learn about a specific topic in an in-depth, hands-on format.  The topics are selected through a rigorous process ensuring that those offered at WEFTEC are targeted, organized, and provide the most up-to-date information.  In addition, WEF follows strict guidelines so that the highest level of education credits (CEUs) can be awarded for all workshops.

A Few of the Topics for 2014 included:

  • Carbon Removal and Recovery
  • Collection Systems Basics
  • Food and Beverage Industry Reuse
  • Green Infrastructure
  • Microbiology
  • Modeling
  • Odors
  • Resource Recovery
  • Stormwater
  • Upstream Oil and Gas Water Reuse
  • Utility Management
  • Water Quality Trading
  • And more!

2015 Call for Workshops

Are you interested in creating a workshop for WEFTEC 2015? Start the process now! Full proposal forms are due November 3, 2014.

The Workshop pre-proposal process is complete. Please note that if you are developing a new proposal, we still recommend you get involvement from the Technical Committees at WEF.  This will strengthen your proposal.

Now is the time to begin working on the actual proposal form. This process takes time and thought and there are many forms to read and fill out.  Please take the time to read all of the materials.  Make sure you submit your speaker confirmations.  The committee recommendation form should come directly from the Committee itself (not the proposal developer!).

If you have questions, email Mary Ann Linder at mlinder@wef.org or call 703-684-2442.
