WEF Community Service Project

Saturday, September 27th at Conrad Park
Bus departs at 8:30 am from the New Orleans Morial Convention Center

The 7th annual WEF Community Service Project, organized by the WEF Students & Young Professionals Committee (SYPC) offers WEFTEC attendees the opportunity to give back to New Orleans.  This year's project, "Recharge, Restore, Revitalize Hollygrove: Conrad Park Green Infrastructure Enhancements", will consist of significantly changing the landscape at Conrad Park to better manage stormwater and add new native vegetation.   Registration for the service project is free and open to all WEFTEC attendees and their guests.  We look to have over 100 volunteers help make a positive impact on the local water environment of New Orleans.  As part of WEF's mission to increase public awareness on water related subjects, the SYPC will also be organizing Water Palooza to be held on Friday, Sept 26 at a local elementary school.  This event brings together water conscious organizations and companies to e4ducate school age children in the community about the value of water through hands-on and demonstrative activities.

Funding for the service project is provided entirely by donations - both monetary and material donations are welcomed. Please contact Michael Quamme to donate materials and Dianne Crilley for monetary donations.  Join WEF in committing to civic outreach and sustainability and ultimately making an immediate impact on our host city, New Orleans!

Questions: Contact the WEF Community Service Project Co-Chair, Michael Quamme; SYPC Chair, Haley Falconer or WEF Staff Dianne Crilley
