WHY THE WASTE-TECH ROTOSIEVE 1MM PERFORATED DRUM SCREENS FOR USE WITH MBR'S:
Effectively removes short chain fibers that create ropes which hang on the hollow fiber membranes causing frequent back flushing and failure of the membranes.
Waste-Tech RotoSieve Drum Screens with 1mm perforations are ideal for screening raw sewage ahead of MBR plants. RotoSieve screens efficiently removes up to +95% inert solids, including fibers and hair. RotoSieve Screens with 0.6mm to 3mm perforations offer flow capacities up to 50 mgd (larger capacities available).
The enclosed perforated drum has no seals to prevent solids bypass. Only screened effluent goes to the MBR process. We guarantee no overflow, no bypass or carry over of solids to the downstream process larger than the perforations. Integral overflows return excess flow to pump station.
Screenings are washed and pressed to 80%+ volume reduction. The organics washed from the screenings are passed on to the MBR treatment process.
