InfoWorks SD for stormwater drainage and InfoWorks 2D, provides a fully integrated two-dimensional modeling solution for urban flood environments.

InfoWorks SD (IWSD) is a fully dynamic, network hydraulic modeling software solution designed specifically to fulfil the demanding requirements of today’s stormwater drainage professional.

Unlike competitor products, IWSD incorporates everything required to model stormwater flows effectively.

InfoWorks 2D – available for both IWCS for collection systems and IWRS for river systems – is a two-dimensional modeling solution for the urban water environment. Two-dimensional models give modelers the flexibility to simulate directional water flows much more accurately, particularly when modeling flows through complex urban geometry such as streets, junctions and open ground where direction may change with depth of flow and other parameters, and is problematic to assume.

In urban areas the situation is exacerbated still further by the presence of sewer networks, in which flows can both enter and exit the system during flood events. Modeling such complex flowscapes accurately requires a 2D engine.

Wallingford Software's 2D engine features:
