New web-based service for Isco 6712 and Avalanche® samplers
The new Strato-LinkTM satellite telemetry package from Teledyne Isco provides a time- and money-saving communication option for remote water monitoring sites where cellular telephone service is unavailable or unreliable.
Strato-Link provides bi-directional communication with Isco 6712 series samplers (including the Isco Avalanche®) via links with low-Earth-orbiting satellites. Up to three sampler-generated alarms can be sent by text message or e-mail. Data logged by the sampler (including flow data, rainfall, and water quality data from an SDI-12 sonde) are password-protected and can be retreived from the dedicated server, allowing you to access your data on the internet at any time via the Strato-Link Web User Interface. You can download the data in CSV format for use with Isco Flowlink® software and spreadsheet applications. The Strato-Link package includes the satellite communicator hardware and a choice of service subscription packages to meet differing requirements for data logging interval and number of parameters.
Applications include:
• Stormwater and surface water monitoring.
• Isolated TMDL applications where personnel need to be alerted when runoff events occur.
• Any water quality analysis requiring remote control, data access, or alarming.
