Godwin Pumps

Booth 28127, Hall B

Godwin Pumps® Dri-Prime® Backup System (DBS™) provides pumping assurance that is independent of utility line power and lift station pump control. The DBS starts by itself, assures the required flow will be pumped and shuts off when either the wet well is lowered or the primary system regains control. These functions ensure that lift station pumping remains uninterrupted regardless of weather, time of day or availability of electricity.

Prior to Godwin’s introduction of the DBS, generators were the only answer to lift station backup; however, a generator cannot power a failed pump. The DBS provides independently-powered backup pumping that ensures reliable and continuous lift station operation, reducing the risk of costly SSOs.

"With the DBS, you don't have to choose between purchasing backup submersible pumps or a backup generator for power," says Godwin’s president, John Paz. "You get a backup pump that is independently powered; giving you two critical backup components – pumping and power – for the price of one."

Godwin's DBS is reliable enough for use during primary power, switchgear or pumping failures; and robust enough for primary pumping during routine maintenance. The Godwin DBS is available in sound attenuated enclosures in sizes 2 inches through 18 inches with flows to 10,000 GPM, heads to 600 feet and solids handling capabilities to 5 inches in diameter.

Godwin Pumps, worldwide manufacturer and supplier of the Dri-Prime automatic self-priming pump, is featuring the DBS for municipal lift stations at WEFTEC booth #28127, Hall B.
