Activated Sludge and BNR Process Control – Hands-On in the Real World: A Companion Program to Workshop W104
Sunday, October 19, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm 1 day, 0.6 CEUs
Due to the level of hands-on activities in this workshop, space is limited to 90 participants.
Hands-on demonstrations will be presented by leading practitioners in their areas of expertise. Their presence and their demonstration of practical measurement & troubleshooting techniques, make this workshop a natural follow-up to the previous day’s workshop Activated Sludge in a BNR World (W104).
This workshop will be held at the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago’s Egan Wastewater Treatment Plant and will demonstrate process control tests, measurement techniques, and troubleshooting methods for operators, engineers, and supervisory personnel. Testing will focus on the activated sludge system and include BNR techniques. Attendees will travel by bus to the host treatment plant where they will receive a brief introduction and a walking map of the demonstration sites. There will be seven workstations where small groups of attendees will observe techniques and participate in demonstrations. In addition there will be a box lunch provided along with the return trip back to the convention center.
